Bazak Consulting works with private, public, NGO and education sector clients to build disaster resilient organizations and prepare stakeholders for emergencies.

Our Mission

To apply evidence-based, best practice frameworks to improve disaster resilience and foster confidence and competence in preventing, mitigating, preparing for, responding to, and recovering from emergencies.

Our work

  • We develop best practice, evidence-based emergency management programs for public and private sectors. Recent projects have included: building a national program for a premier global real estate management company; designing a program to bolster the emergency resilience of commercial building operators and managers in China; and creating a school-based emergency management program for an international NGO, located in over 70 countries.

  • We will work with your organization to create comprehensive, customized, all-hazard emergency plans, procedures, and protocols. We use international standards on continuity, emergency, and crisis management as well as learnings from real-world emergencies to make sure you are ready for the next challenge.

  • We develop and deliver emergency management training workshops, in person and using virtual platforms. Recently we presented in-person training workshops for international organizations in Latin America and Asia.

  • We design and deliver emergency management exercises for public and private sector senior management teams and front-line staff.

  • We create innovative learning tools, including videos and e-learning modules, designed to engage and educate stakeholders about emergency management. Recently, we developed the storyboard for an emergency management training animated video for over 10,000 staff of a premier academic medical center located in New York City.

  • We developed, wrote, and updated publications to support national and international commercial real estate partners throughout the pandemic.

  • We have conducted disaster research to determine how Canadian municipalities plan for people with functional needs in emergencies.
